PurposeCast: The Power of Purpose
In this PurposeCast, The Power of Purpose, Dr. Vic Strecher and Dr. Anthony Burrow explored the science of purpose and ways you can live with greater purpose.
Asking the question, “What is your purpose?” can be difficult for some people to answer. Dr. Burrow explained that, “Pathways to purpose may require us to engage in more bite-sized experiences.” He introduced 3 pathways to help listeners uncover a purpose:
- Proactive: You pursue purpose gradually through hobbies and activities.
- Reactive: Your purpose emerges in response to life circumstances like an awe-inspiring moment, or illness.
- Social: You observe and draw inspiration from examples of purposeful individuals.
