Lisa Schutte is the Chief Technology Officer at Kumanu, where she leads the design and delivery of the company’s wellbeing platform with a focus on scalability, security, and meaningful user experiences. With over two decades of experience in software engineering, product leadership, and behavioral technology, she brings a rare blend of strategic insight and technical depth to her role.

Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Stanford University and has led high-performing teams across a range of industries—from advanced simulation and visualization to health tech. At Kumanu, she oversees the company’s technology vision and execution, ensuring every product and platform decision is grounded in scientific integrity, technical resilience, and human impact.

Prior to Kumanu, Lisa served as VP of Technology at Ideomed, where she built and led the product development team and served as the company’s initial privacy and security officer, establishing HIPAA compliance frameworks. She has held leadership roles in product management and development at MSC Software, Mechanical Dynamics, and Engineering Animation. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Senior Scientist at Transom Technologies, where she contributed to innovation in engineering software and data visualization.

Lisa played a pivotal role in Kumanu’s successful achievement of HITRUST certification, helping to establish and uphold rigorous standards for data privacy, security, and compliance. Under her leadership, Kumanu continues to innovate with purpose while maintaining a strong, secure, and scalable technical foundation.
